Popcorn, Nuts and Candies

This year the Nuts and Candies along with the Popcorn sales did fabulous. We had good sales and Jan did a good job with handling this project along with Mary Harper. Thank you ladies for your work and Jan for driving to get the items for our sales. We will have to wait for the final number to know the results.
We do have some nuts still left in case anyone is looking for some. We have 4 bags of black walnuts, 1 of english walnuts and 1 candy bag, Chocolate Cocoanut Clusters. Please call me (Christy) 816-443-2461 if anyone is interested in getting these.

Talk to Santa

We have finished the Talk to Santa project for Optimist Club Of Grain Valley. We had a record weekend seeing 219 kids on the last weekend. Both days had over 100 kids so our Santa's, John and Chuck had very little time to rest between kids. This gave us an over all of 370 kids for 2006 where we had 402 last year. We started off slow but gained after the Holiday Express event. The public coming to see the train had to go right in front of the Santa house that lit up for the event. Another successful year and both John and I would like to say thank you to all of you who helped make it sucessful and worked in the different kinds of weather we were challenged with.
